STL – 2 Sky’s The Limit

Margaret von Kaenel is participating in the OA Gallery Exhibit:  STL – 2 – Sky’s The Limit.

This exhibition is Saint Louis’ premier exhibition of the boundless landscape in and around the city. It is a large grouping of colorful two-dimensional landscape work.  This Exhibit runs from August 3 through September 1, 2018. Her painting is of Forest Park on a lovely late fall afternoon.

Additional news…..Margaret will be participating in the Golden Hills of Louisiana, Mo Plein Air paint out on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the city of Louisiana, Missouri.  This is Margaret’s second time painting in this event and the 7th annual event for Golden Hills.  Artists are permitted to bring three additional pieces of work to display and offer for sale at the evening reception.  This is a plein air event with no work produced from photos.  If you are up for an interesting and beautiful country drive, plan a day trip to this lovely city on the river.  It is fun to watch the artists create beautiful paintings!

Also in September, Margaret will be participating in the Third Annual U. City In Bloom Plein Air Art Festival in University City, Missouri on Sunday, September 23, 2018.  U. City in Bloom has selected the area bounded by Delmar & Olive, Hanley & Pennsylvania which includes 3 parks, churches, a small cemetery, historic homes as well as many U. City in Bloom gardens.  One of Margaret’s works won 2nd place in last year’s competition.

The competition begins as early as 8am and continues until 3:30pm when completed artwork will be turned in and judged. Artwork will be for sale with 15% of the proceeds going to the U.City In Bloom organization.  The competition is open to artists 18 and over, plus High School students in 10th-12th grades  There is a separate category for High School students. Come out and watch!!
