Saint Louis Artists Guild Members Exhibition includes two works by Margaret von Kaenel

Two of Margaret’s ink paintings were juried into the St. Louis Artists Guild Members Exhibition April 19 – June 1.

This exhibition is an all media, all content juried exhibit for members of the St. Louis Artist Guild who work in a diversity of mediums. Juror Robert Powell, founder and Executive Director of Portfolio Gallery and Educational Center in St. Louis, made the selections.

The paintings Margaret entered are a new medium for her. They are both alcohol ink paintings and somewhat more abstract than her oil and acrylic paintings. She is interested and excited in pursuing this medium and creating form within the abstraction.  The pieces are titled: North Carolina Blues and Cosmic Poppies.

The Exhibit opens Friday, April 19 at 5PM with a Juror/Awards Presentation at 6:30PM. There will be a Gallery Talk with Juried Artists on Wednesday, May 8 at 7PM.  The exhibit closes on Saturday, June 1st, 2019.

Robert Powell is Founder and Executive Director of Portfolio Gallery and Educational Center.  Portfolio is a 501c3 arts organization located in the city of St. Louis, Missouri.
