Margaret von Kaenel exhibited at the 28th International Decorative Painters Salon in Hamburg, Germany at the Museum der Arbeit.
Artists from over 25 countries were represented. Each participant exhibited their work as well as demonstrated their painting skills. Margaret’s exhibition panel (42-inches by 60-inches) playfully depicts the Salon host – Friederike Schulz, as Hammonia ruling over the Hamburg Harbor. Her demonstration panel is titled “Marriage Portrait” and is currently on exhibit at the Heartland Art Club Gallery in Kirkwood, Missouri. The panel is painted in a Singerie style of painting and includes a lot of symbolism that tells of the pair’s professions and their city of residence.
Next years SALON will be held May 8 – 11 in Faengslet Horsens, Denmark. The theme is Nordic Mythology. https://www.salonhorsens.com
